Day 1

Airport
Awoke at about 5 o'clock this morning while my dad woke up at about 4 o'clock to catch a bus to go to the airport at 6' o'clock so that we could check-in.

So we are currently at the airport just chilling out in a executive lounge having a coffee, after tucking in to a very nice breakfast. I had a BLT with wedges while my dad had a traditional English breakfast. All we have to do is wait for the flight.

Aeroplane
9:40 --- Just another 3 hours and 20 minutes until we touch the ground In San Francisco... I am extremely thankful that my dad upgraded to "economy plus" which has an extra 3" leg room. However it feels a lot bigger than an extra 3", that is probably because I am used to traveling In economy.

The lunch they provided was pasta or chicken. Both me and my dad decided to go for the pasta but as per usual the in flight meal wasn't that nice, although I did enjoy the pudding (Then again I've always that a sweet tooth, thanks to my mother).

The service they are providing is very good as I knew it would be, they are constantly coming round with free drinks and little snacks.

Now with regards to the length of a The journey... I knew a 10 hour flight was going to be long, but wow it seems to be dragging on... I was hoping to hit the sack for the journey or at least a few hours of it, boy ever I wrong... I think I managed to get about 1hour 30 minutes of sleep, although the films they have on are good, but even they don't add up to the total journey time.

I have been passing the time by playing "Apps", "Music" on my "Ipad" and also have started reading a book called: "The Rise and Fall of the third Reich" which is proving to be a very interesting book however some parts are quite hard to get your head around.

I just can't wait till we land though now... I need to stretch my legs, because I'm getting really bad cramp in my thighs. I shall resume this post once we get through customs.

16:25 --- and we are finally at the hotel, and let's starts off by saying it's.... Well... AMAZING! the facilities are great and I'm pleased that they have a gym so I will definitely be able to keep up my fitness at this hotel.

random people in the street like to talk to my Dad and he says "do you need some help?" so of course the first thing they say "I could really use a dollar to buy a burger."

Then you're in a situation where he's in a conversation trying to make up excuses that he has no money.... So ofcourse I have a problem with that... If you ask someone if they need help and then you can't be bothered to help them, why ask them if they are all right in the first place? But hey... Moving on...

I found a few shops with "Lakers" merchandise which I plan on buying wouldn't mind some "Packers" merchandise too as that is the American basketball team I support, I just love the "Lakers" colours.

Going to round this post off by saying I'm tired from the journey and need some more sleep however before I do that a quick trip to the gym won't hurt.

So I will speak to you all tomorrow. Cya later
