Here is our itinerary from San Francisco to Manhattan island, as we travel by car through the states of California, Nevada and Arizona and then by plane to New York.
Departing the UK on 15 June, our driving route takes us from the sloping roadways of <1> Bay city, stopping briefly at the coastal resort of <2> Monteray and the nearby Pebble beach golf course, through the California valley lowlands to <3> Yosemite national park before climbing up via the Tioga pass (fingers crossed) and then down into<4> Death Valley.
We rest overnight in the hottest place in the USA before travelling into Nevada and on past Area 51 to the bright lights of <5> Las Vegas where we pause before our onward journey stopping briefly at the Hoover dam and then into Arizona and onwards to the <6> Grand Canyon.
From the Grand canyon we turn and head back across Arizona towards our penultimate Californian stop in <7> Palm springs. At <8> San Diego we rest before returning the car and heading on via air to Newark and the final stop of this trip New Yorks <9> Manhattan island.
